- 1 Window regulator / door
- 2 Rear drive unit
- 3 Cameras / Vision
What changed
- Ultrasonic Sensors removed — Tesla Vision-only parking (mixed reviews).
- HW4 phased in (some 2023 units HW3, some HW4 — check VIN).
- Matrix LED headlights; more acoustic glass.
Known issues
- No USS = degraded park assist. Vision parking still being refined.
- HW3 vs HW4 split. FSD features may roll out differently.
- Rear-seat heater pad issues in cold — software-tunable.
Recalls
- 2023-035: Front passenger restraint software.
- 2023-103: Autosteer engagement boundary recall (Dec 2023 — affected all in-warranty Teslas).
Repairs & fixes
- Vision parking less accurate at low speed Stay on current software; go slow in tight spots; some add an aftermarket parking camera. DIY
- Autosteer recall (Dec 2023) Free over-the-air update — verify it's applied in the app. Free OTA
- Rear-seat heater pad weak in cold Software tuning via update; Tesla service if a pad has failed. Service
- Drive-unit hum/whine rising with speed Fluid change can ease early fluid-related noise; worn bearings need DU repair/replacement. Service
Verdict
OK, but verify USS status and HW version, and whether the buyer actually wants USS (some prefer pre-2023). HW4 cars may hold value better long-term.
