What changed
- Highland: cleaner front fascia + headlights, rear LED light bar, ventilated front seats (LR), ambient light strip, rear passenger screen.
- Improved ride and acoustic isolation; stalkless — turn signals and shifter on the wheel/screen; HW4.
Known issues
- Stalkless turn-signal buttons can 'lock out' and need a firm press/reposition.
- Early-build rattles, buzzing door panels, headliner and ambient-light glitches.
- Backup-camera blanks/stutter on some early cars.
- Harsher ride on 19/20-inch wheels.
Recalls
- Rearview-camera board-short recall (2024–2025) — verify by VIN; service replaces the board.
Repairs & fixes
- Turn-signal buttons not triggering Largely software — keep updates current; press firmly. Persistent cases: Tesla service. Free OTA
- Door-panel buzz / headliner rattle / ambient-light glitch Service reseats trim or adds damping; lighting glitches are software-tunable. Partial
- Backup camera blank or stuttering Reboot first; if it's the board-short recall, service replaces the computer board. Partial
- Rattles on rough roads Felt tape at contact points. DIY
Verdict
If you can live with the stalkless layout, the best Model 3 yet.
